Mimi and the ER

Got a call from my Mom a.k.a. Mimi today, she was bleeding from her leg. I rushed to her house from work and we were off to the ER at RHD. The RHD-ER is only a few blocks away but we took the scenic route by way of Interstate 635. Now those that know where my Mom lives, may ask how did you miss the entrance to the ER, its clearly right there. Well, I'll answer that, seems I guess we were talking and I forgot my main mission, which was to get her to the ER. We arrived and she was taken to one of those rooms down the hall that you have to wait for the Doc to come in. Found the TV remote but couldn't get sound. So we watched this guy with funny hair, no sound. The Doc came in and began his assessment. Typical ER Doc left for a long time and returned with a needle and all his stuff to sew Moms leg. We thought it was odd that he placed what looked like a dish towel on her leg with a hole in it. When asked why he was doing that he said, "so I will know where to put the stitches." Duh?!, there is a 3 inch gash in her leg. Mom says, "How can you miss it." Guess it was a Doc Moment. He just looked at us. We tried to make small talk with the Doc by asking how many stitches there are. He said "One and One Long one." I said "so you basically hemmed her up." He wasn't amused by my comment and said I guess if you want to call it a hem you can but it is a LONG STITCH." OK Doc got the lingo. So how many stitches if they were done individually, he said "12" We then waited to get discharged. After an hour it was clear to me that the staff was just waiting for a shift change so that they didn't have to take anymore patients before their shift ended at 3:00 PM. We are on to your ER tricks, Doctor Long Stitch. Got her home, tried to clean up the blood that was all over the porch with my new blue ER gloves. Oh did I forget to mention that I took 12 pair and stuck 12 pair in Moms purse. What can I say we were bored and the TV had no sound.
Very concerned at this point about this blogger thing. Where is spell check?

Glad Mimi is OKAY--you know I just hate the ER. All the waiting usually in the "waiting room" but especially all the waiting in the examination room. Sounds like Dr Longstitch doesn't have any bedside manner or a sense of humor. LOL PS spell check is right above the blog box to the left---Do you like that song? "To the left, to the left...I could have another YOU in a minute...in fact He'll be here in a minute...BABaaaay! It's a Beyounce Song. LOL well, miss you Mom xoxoxoxox

P, you are so right.... A freaks out about the D and E. So just give her a nickname every now and then, then she feels like she's one of us. She just needs random attention like that.
