UPDATE ON BUDDY

My Pup had a tough day. We left Lewisville at 6:00 AM this morning. Drove to Kennedale in a bad rain storm. Arrived at 7:45, the Doc immediately gave Buddy a shot to relax him. Surgery was at 8:30 AM. Doc suggested I go on to work and she would call me when surgery was over. I had a lot of anxiety until I got the call at 11:00. Doc said Buddy was almost out of the anesthesia and doing well. Then I get the news. During the surgery Buddy had a slow abnormal heart rate. They finished the procedure and hurried to get him awake. Doc said she was concerned about the ECG and was sending it out for evaluation. I will get the results Tuesday. Buddy had 5 teeth extracted and three teeth packed with Doxirobe. She told me that was an antibiotic put at the gum line for infection. Lots of infection going on in his mouth. I picked up Buddy at 1:00 and he slept most of the day in my office. He can't have anything to eat or drink until Tuesday AM. I am taking him to work with me Tuesday just to watch him. You can see in the picture above he looks sleepy and I took that picture at 6:00 PM tonight. I'm sure he will be a lot more perky on Tuesday. Thanks to everyone for the prayers and calls I got today to check up on my Buddy.
