Mini Sirlion Burgers...Are they as good as the commercial?

This is what happens when your day doesn't turn out like you planned. So I'm driving around town looking for these damn Coconut Liners for my Flower Baskets which I can NOT find anywhere. I have to have these to do my planting. Whole day so far not GOOD. I'm hungry and frustrated and I see a sign "MINI BURGERS." I thought to myself, "I have been eating so healthy for 8 weeks what would hurt to try a Mini Sirloin Burger its SIRLOIN THAT'S GOOD. If you are like me and have been singing this Mini Sirloin Burger Song for weeks in YOUR head and it makes you LAUGH you would have pulled into to the fast food place too . I wondered if they are any good and do they look like the commercial all juicy and cute and all. You have to see the video before scrolling down to my comments. It's important that you really get into my HEAD on this. OK!!!

JACK IN THE BOX - Mini Sirloin Burgers

Drove up singing the Mini Sirloin Burger Song in my head. I am so happy and excited giggling as I order.

Penny says, "I'll have the Mini Sirloin Burger Meal Please." giggle giggle
JACK says, "What?"
Penny...What do you mean WHAT!!!" "I'll have the Mini Sirloin Burger Meal."
Jack... "Do you want the 2 PACK or the 6 PACK?"
Penny..."WHAT...I want THREE like the commercial"
Jack...."Sorry we have 2 pack or 6 pack."
Penny....So confused and NOT giggling anymore...."I guess I'll have the 2 PACK."
Jack...."Do you want the MEAL."
Penny....YES JACK, I want the MEAL that's a drink and fries, RIGHT"
No Answer from JACK.....

Jack actually sticks his head out the drive thru window and motions me to pull forward.

Penny to Jack at the window...."Is your intercom not working today? I thought I heard you say 2 pack or 6 pack?"...Still can not let it go. He confirms the packaging again. Jack hands me my very large drink.

Penny says..."What is this? I haven't told you what I wanted to drink yet."
Jack says as he takes the drink back...."SORRY what would you like?"
Penny..."A Diet Dr. Pepper and can I have a Jack Antenna Ball?"
Jack...."NO DIET DR. PEPPER AND NO ANTENNA BALL TODAY."
Penny..."OK, ANYTHING DIET"..getting upset mostly about the Three Mini Burger thing..I will NOT let it go.
Jack...Hands me Diet COKE and a Bag.

Penny....REALLY UPSET and AFRAID TO LOOK IN THE BAG at this point drives HOME.
Get home and open the bag and this is what I got.

An over sized Drink (the one in the commercial must be a kid size I thought)
A box of Fries (thinking the fries were in a little bag)
2 Very Small Burgers (I'm talking SMALL 2 1/2 X 2 1/2. Notice the THUMB indention on the SMALL DINNER ROLL, BISCUIT WANT TO BE (SO CALLED BURGER)..........FINGER PRINT....THAT'S NOT MINE.

So now I am THINKING something is NOT RIGHT HERE!!!!

So I go over to watch the commercial on U-TUBE and OMG... I went to BURGER KING not Jack-in-the-Box. No wonder the Jack guy was acting weird to me. I am sure he thought I was DRUNK or HIGH on something asking for Three Mini Burgers and a JACK ANTENNA BALL at Burger King. OMG....

BURGER KING is totally copying JACK in the BOX with the Mini Burger thing.

Next time I have a Fast Food Fit, I'm GOING TO JACK-IN-THE-BOX and try the REAL MINI SIRLOIN BURGERS. Will blog about them, Stay tuned. I really am hoping they look like THIS.

Plans for Today

I'm up at 4:00 AM its Sunday Morning or Night whichever you want to call it. I was so tired last night I went to bed at 8:00 PM. Yikes too early should have stayed up later anyway I'm ready to start my day and STUCK here waiting for it to get daylight. Plans TODAY are to clean off the Patio and re-plant my flower Baskets. Reason for not doing it before now is last year we had some bad weather with hail threats and I had to keep pulling the baskets inside because I didn't want them to get pelted. So there you have it. Be back later with pictures of my New and Improved Patio. Here is a picture of last year's patio taken in August. I loved it. Plans this year are for more of the climbing greenery (sweet potato plants) in the front of the baskets and same kind of flowers just different colors toward the back.

Operation Muffin Top Update

Muffin Top Project is going GREAT. I have lost 7 lbs. My Jeans fit so much better than a week ago. Getting lots of positive feedback from friends noticing my smaller waist. So Excited about this improvement. I have 5 more days on the Complete Body Cleanser. It has been a lot easier than I originally thought it would be. One thing that I have noticed is that I haven't had ANY sweet cravings or wanting Sodas. That's been strange because I normally would drink a Diet Dr. Pepper daily. No Sodas or Sweets in a week and a half.
I had a FUN SPA DAY on Wednesday. I went to Coldwater Creek Spa with a Friend and we had a BLAST. I got a Massage, Facial and a Pedicure. (Wish I could go to a Spa more often.) We had such a fun day talking and laughing. When I had my massage I found that it was hard to move my Left Arm in all the positions that the Massage Tech tried. After her bending and squeezing and punching me I am now able to move it. Very Interesting how this happened as a result of not exercising like I should. Discovered that walking is not going to be enough to keep myself in shape. Will have to add some Yoga or Pilate's. They say that once you start doing these you will LIKE it. We shall see if that is true.
Today getting my new Crown. Not the Princess kind of Crown the Tooth kind. This has been a major pain for me. The temporary crown has been coming off and it hurts like all get out. It hurt so bad on Easter Sunday I wanted to shoot my Dentist. Today all should be better. That's all for now.
EDIT: for post above.
So mad at my Dentist. I did not get my permanent Crown today as planned. It wasn't right so it has to be redone. Now I have to deal with this for another week. My left jaw is so sore and hurts all the time. I just want to CRY like a baby!!!

Back At Aner's for the Weekend

Put my car in the shop for a Health Checkup. Thanks "L" for the help on this. Really want to keep my Little Chevy Tracker for another year or two but can't handle the anxiety of it breaking down on me commuting to work 44 miles one way. Just need it looked over for any problems before they happen. So, I'm back at Aner's House for a few days. Luke is playing and Hannah is sleeping. Buddy is sleeping too. Later...

Back Home Today

Buddy and I got home last night and went straight to bed. I over did it at Aner's house. My back is hurting really bad. This is the same thing that happened to me last June when I went back to work to soon after surgery...BACK ACHES... I have to go to the dentist today for a Crown. I broke a back tooth from grinding my teeth while I sleep. It SUCKS TO BE ME TODAY.

This is the coolest thing. I'm sitting in Aner's living room watching Dancing with the Stars and blogging this on my IPhone. I am so "IT" today.

New Project in Progress

Well since I am unable to continue my BIG 2009 Major project (secret) until I am recovered completely from my surgery, I HAVE A NEW PROJECT. I watched this show that reported that data storage methods change on an average of every FIVE (5) years. YIKES!!! I don't want to end up with all these different forms of storage for my photos like I have for my Videos (VHS, Small VHS, DVD, DISKS) It's crazy I don't even know how I am going to get that under control. Sooooo, I downloaded all my Photos from my OLD computer to my Laptop. Then I sorted, deleting, downloading printable photos to Shutterfly and generally CLEANED UP the Photo Nightmare I had created. In addition to this I am going through Photos and sorting, throwing away, giving away and whatever it takes to get this under control. This week I am having a POWER CROP and putting all these on 12 X 12 Sheets to be placed in Albums later. Note to Self HERE (Only buying TOP LOADER ALBUMS AT THE SCRAPBOOK CONVENTION IN JUNE.) Also I guess I should stock up on Adhesives. EVERYONE, please let me know if you see a sale on Adhesives at (Hobby Lobby, Michael's. JoAnn's, etc.) Picture is of my Completion of the sorting process for pictures already processed. I KNOW it looks bad but it really isn't. Some of the envelopes only have a few pictures of a one time Event. (example: 2 or 4 pictures) Why do all this WORK. Well, when my kids are OLD and Senile they can look at the Albums and "SAY" like a friend of mine put it "SEE, I WAS SO CUTE BACK IN THE DAY."

OK I have to say this FIRST.....Mimi You will probably have a HEART ATTACK when you see this..

Sweet Potato Fries

I have in the past HATED Sweet Potatoes. I will take one taste at Holidays just to be nice but really want to gig at the sight of Sweet Potatoes. So I'm cruising the aisle at Sprouts and they have a taste and run. You are familiar with these at SAM'S. You taste and run before the poor person has a chance to give you the information about the product and try to get you to buy it. When you are at Sprouts of course its not your typical fried something but its something FRESH and LOW Calorie like Sweet Potatoes. I looked at the poor lady and she said..."I HATE SWEET POTATOES." We bonded immediately. Then there is a "BUT, you should try these" from my newly found friend at Sprouts. So just like on a holiday at home....I tried one. OMG it tasted good. So I get the facts on how to make it and buy one (1) sweet potato and head for another aisle.
Here is the recipe for Sweet Potato Fries. I now believe that I hated sweet potatoes because of the recipe of so much sugary sweetness with marshmallows, pineapples, nuts and all that stuff. I like them PLAIN.

1 Big sweet potatoes (peeled and sliced)
1/4 cup olive oil
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp paprika
1/4 tsp cinnamon (I put more just because)
Shake all together in a zip lock baggie then pure them out into a baking dish.

Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Bake 30 minutes. Your House will smell so good while these are baking.



TRY SOMETHING NEW THIS WEEK. YOU MIGHT BE SURPRISED AND LIKE IT. I DID.

CRISIS OF AGING

I think I have officially entered a middle-aged crisis. It's taken me a long time to get to this point. The key is to find my way out of the crisis while still growing older. Age is more of a mental state than a physical state. When the mid-life crises strike, we can't let our minds grow old. It is easy to do. I find myself more aware of the changes in my body, the aches and pains, feeling out of place in a room full of younger people, worrying about retirement. Am I relevant and do I replenish the people I hang around with or do I just drain the life out of them? I find that today more than ever, I have to challenge myself to stay mentally young. Here are a few things I will work on:

* Dress as young as I can without looking like an idiot. There is a fine line. What you wear determines how you feel. Best way to tell is to ask one of your children. They will tell you the truth.

* Hang around younger people. It's more exciting to be with younger people. When I am around people my age (for the most part) I feel old.

* Keep up with technology like Facebook and Twitter. You can go overboard with them, but like it or not, that's what younger people are using today to build community.

* Read books and newspapers and go to movies. Keeping up with the culture is important to staying relevant to our culture.

* Remember that we are a vital resource to our community. I can help younger women who may be struggling. I can look back and say that I have experienced a lot.

* Change taste in music. I will always love the Bee Gees, but now I enjoy John Mayer, Cold Play and Sara Barriles among others. Sorry, I can't do the rap thing and never will.

If you are like me, keep it young.

Feeling Better Today

I had a good day, Visit from a friend that brought me some Homemade Stew. DROVE MYSELF to the Library for some books and movies. Back Home and very TIRED. Walking seems to be hard to do for very long.

I have been working on making my Blog Private. So if you are reading this you made the CUT. I just feel that I can express more about my prayers, hopes and dreams for myself and my family by doing this. As in all families not all is Peaches and Creme all the time. There are some days when I want to cry out for prayer and want you all to join me in that CRY for your family as well. I don't feel comfortable with the world today all the time. Truly evil people are alive and well. They would love nothing more than to use information they get from any one's private life for their own agenda. I got home today....YUKE Rainy...No Buddy...I miss HIM A LoT...I asked Josh to keep him a couple more days til the rain stops. Not wise for me to walk him. I wouldn't want to take a chance of failing down. OUCH!!! AnyWho....just Hanging at Home. OK so what was a pretty boring week at work and at home ended with an interesting event in Court Today. We have some funny things happen and today was one of those days. Judge is listening to a case at the bench and we hear this creepy sound like snip...snip...crack...crack. Judge asks the people in Court who is making that noise and no one fesses up. So he goes on with hearing the case and again snip...snip...crack...crack. He notices some citizens in the gallery looking at this man. So he stops the case and addresses the man to approach the bench. When asked what he is doing he says TRIMMING HIS NAILS. YUK!!! Judge asks "What are you doing with the cut nails and the man just stares at Judge like a DEER in HEADLIGHTS. Then judge says "ARE YOUR NAILS ON MY FLOOR?" Man says "YES" OMG...Judge has the BAILIFF take this man into Custody, HANDCUFF him and take his ASS out of the Court. After the case he was hearing is over Judge requests the man be returned to Court. Still in Handcuffs he is standing there and Judge is just looking at him. We are all staring at the man. OK, I'm thinking what is going to happen. Judge finally breaks the stare down and says "You are in Contempt of my Court and I FINE you $100.00 plus Court Cost of $67.00." Asks the man if he has $167.00 man says "YES." OK..PAY THE CLERK. OMG Cost of his manicure $167.00. It gets better. Man was in court for an Eviction Case. I asked Judge what was with the stare down. He says I was waiting for an apology. Dumb Man... SOooooooo after Court I say "NO HOME TO LIVE IN BUT DAMN HIS NAILS LOOKED GOOD." Fun end to a boring week.
